Hey lads, I'm Kevin, here to provide some stability to a franchise which has had a few different GMs. First order of business is to change my team name the Nepean Raiders! I live in Ottawa. Have been involved in keeper pools since joining my first one about 15 years ago (which is still going). Started out in points only formats, but have joined a few multicat H2H format in recent years and enjoy this type of format much better. Happy to join such a great league. I love the depth of the rosters/farm, and the 'capology' aspect as well. Cheers! Well, he provided "stability" for a few months...lol this was his email reply to weekly changes thread "I'm out lads, a bit too much 'administrivia' for my liking, but it was fun while it lasted and good luck to everyone in all facets of life! Cheers, Kev This league has by far the least administrative work of any keeper league Ive been in so that brings into question how he can be in leagues for 15 years. This league literally required 0 posts from GMs and now we have to make one post a week and Dave still handles pretty much all the admin work and people are still bitching about him asking us to make his life a little easier. |

Hey boys
Koomzz here, taking over Buffalo, and immediately moving them down to South Carolina as the Stingrays. Pretty much what I've done in life. I moved from Buffalo to South Carolina 3 years ago, so it seemed fitting.
I've been expanding my fantasy league sizes lately, going from 16-18 team leagues, to here and some 30 teamers as well. I've usually pretty active, I log in essentially every day, may not post a whole lot but I'm always up to date. And will respond to PMs regularly, unless I loathe you, then the response will be a bit shorter.
Still familiarizing myself with the rules and everything for the league, but once I'm up to speed I'll get into responding to trade talks and making up a block for myself. Hopefully we can fill up the other teams that are vacant and thanks again for having me here.

Hey everyone,
I will be taking over the Edmonton Oilers and they will be moved to the small town of Metcalfe, 20 minutes outside of Ottawa, as the Metcalfe Jets. My old Jr team just left so I figured they needed a new franchise. A little bit about myself just finished my Jr. hockey here in Ottawa and now going into my second year of coaching a U18 AAA team.
I'm coming over from the same league as Josh, Koomz, and Dan (I believe that's it?) and am quite active over there, wouldn't expect anything different in this league.
Similar to Koomz, dont want to make any moves till I get a full understanding of the rules. Don't hesitate to contact me if you have any trade ideas I am always open to listen.

So I don't have a team, but was welcomed for now to learn a little about the league. I look forward to all of you having a great sixth season.
I live in the Poconos region of Pennsylvania.
I follow all sports, but I am a devoted Philadelphia Flyers and Boston Red Sox fan. I'm also a Minnesota Vikings and Dallas Mavericks fan. I've followed all of these teams my entire life, except for the Mavericks, who I've followed since their inception.
My current favorite players are my family's favorites. My daughters are huge Scott Hartnell and Braydon Coburn fans. My son's favorite is Radko Gudas. My wife is a huge Brent Burns fan (and San Jose Sharks). I'm partial to a few current NHLers for a variety of reasons, including Tom Kuhnhackl and Dmitri Orlov.
As for experiences, I've played in a number of fantasy leagues since the days of adding stats by hand from the weekly USA Today listing and mailing out copies of the standings, stats and rosters. Years later, we added a webpage on Geocities. Later on, I was in a good league like this for a number of years before its collapse, taking over a dead-last franchise and seeing what I could make of it. After a couple of years away, I got back into dynasty leagues last year, but the new one I joined was poorly run and didn't make it.
I'll fill in some other details sometime down the road.

HF Boards. I stopped posting there years ago, mainly because things seemed to be getting out of hand with silliness there, and also because of a professional conflict. Overall, loved the work most of the mods did (they were especially great to me), but was too busy to dig through the silliness for any real info. But I'll scroll through once every six months or so. Found you guys, but came in just after your recruiting drive.

Thanks. I work as a news editor with a media company here. My career was built in sports, though. It was frustrating when people would post rumors from "people they know," and I'd simply ask someone in the org to confirm or deny (I always have to check for potential news). Those rumors were ALWAYS wrong, but I wouldn't cite my sources because, 1., the rumor boys never did, and 2., I'm not using my profession to populate a messageboard when we have websites and Twitter feeds and such to fill. I'd fill in the mods who knew who me, but it really wasn't worth the effort after a while.
