I will be away on a well-earned Christmas vacation starting today, Friday Dec 21st until Tuesday Jan 8th 2019. Much of this time will be spent aboard the Crown Princess cruise ship, down in the eastern Caribbean. I will have internet access for most of my vacation although it might be spotty and costly, which might make fantasy hockey a low priority. I will do what I can but in the meantime I will be drinking exotic Caribbean drinks and/or cold imported beer and NOT shoveling snow...

I learned on Wednesday that I can’t spend Christmas with my parents,brothers and sister since my youngest just caught a virus from the daycare. This virus can be harmful toward a pregnant woman. Yep my sister in law is pregnant (few months). So we will do our little thing Alone !! Fucking sucks but we will do our best to have a great time !! So again good luck with your vacation and all I can wish upon you is health health !! Have a good one !! |

I'm sorry, and I'm back. My daughter took a significant turn, which drew me away. While we were at it, my wife nearly totaled our car, our son got his first antibiotic (at age 2 1/2, I'll take that, but it was still an illness when we needed nothing else to go wrong), and I lost 40% of my desk team to retirement without immediate replacements.
Son is improving. Car will be fixed someday. I hope. Hiring and training new staff. And my daughter, after missing months of school, finally returned to classes after the holiday break. We have one more visit with a specialist today. She's still in some pain and discomfort, but they're saying she's be able to be active in a few weeks. Not bad for a kid who has missed or left early for 67 days of school.
I REALLY LIKE THIS LEAGUE AND AM SORRY. You sit and think how could someone not have 10 minutes to look at their team, or come here. Then it happens and you get it. You sit awake all night with one of your sick kids and it chews on your insides. Then you leave the house for work and it chews even more. Your wife calls you at work and is stranded in the middle of nowhere. There's insurance and police to deal with. The holidays ... what a trainwreck. We didn't get enough shopping done, so we had a couple of gifting days. Just bad.
Anyway, I've rambled. I'm sorry, and I'm back. (and now, to the doctor appointment)

I wish that was spread across the year. Great first 3/4 of year for me. Then my daughter got sick, and then things got even deeper in December. Here's to 2020! The best to everyone!

Glad you're back and things are getting better for you. The nice thing about this league is it's pretty relaxed and at this time of year not overly busy anyway.
