After reading up on the 2016 NHL draft changes, sounds like they have harmonized with the NBA system.

So glad to see I've got a whole thread dedicated to me. For example Josh says benching Letang isn't an optional lineup. Well in BBK I think only dressing one goalie and having Mrazek in the minors would be the same.
The point is you are leaving up to interruption of individuals and there will be disagreements from each person no matter what.
I came in last year had the worse team, worst record and didn't win the lotto.
I was left with very little to work with have I been on here complain and campaigning for advantages to help my cause.
All I have done is come in and played within the rules. Passion I can appreciate. The hate through chatbox, PMs, threads, etc I don't
Why is it okay for super teams but not for other teams?

This isn't meant as a diss Will, but to be honest, I think you'll come in last place even if you do ice your best line up. In that sense, I think you're strategy could backfire. IE - by deliberately resting your better players, from day 1 by design - I think you may inadvertently give ammo to those who want the nhl lottery to be less favourable to the worst teams. To be honest, that's the impact it has had with me.
Trust me, I'm very sympathetic to the crappy hand you were dealt. But your current strategy worries me...in terms of the precendent it sets. So I for one would support following the nhl draft model, after watching this season unfold...

Oh I agree I will most likely have the worst record again. I'm not living in some fantasy world that I'll magically turn this around quickly.
I had the worst record last year and didn't win the lotto.
One of the major problems I believe you hit on the head. People are out for their own agenda and the fact people want to make is harder for the worst teams and use the fact that I'm playing within the rules as ammo to have the NHL less favorable bothers me. I find it very hypercritical and that truly does bother me
Like I said I'm fine with passion and don't think or believe anyone will have the same opinion as me but I do feel like I try and respect their views and opinions on the matter.
I have no strategy except trade for as many valuable assets as possible. If people want me to dress my so called best lineup that is fine too but I won't lose players doing so. I didn't think Etem would find himself in the doghouse obviously or I wouldn't have traded for him.
I'll take a further look at my roster and make the adjustments. I'm frankly tired of all the unjust hate, disrespect, hypocrisy, etc.
This is suppose to be fun not such a drain

Etem and Terry do not require waivers to be sent down. You also have three bench spots; you could very safely utilize two of them (I assume you have cap space). There is no way Horton is coming back. So you could easily promote any two players, plus switch two rookies, without losing any assets from your current roster. And that's playing it safe (i.e., Clitsome is likely done for the year too, but I suppose that's not a sure thing, so I didn't count him).
I do agree, this is supposed to be fun. I hope people aren't crossing the line. As you say, passion is fine, but it should be respectful. cheers, d.

I was in favour, as were several others, for directly assisting your team, Will.
I still am actually, but the league chose a different path.
But at the same time, even though you got stuck with a really brutal roster from the previous GM, the basis of this particular thread is the Commish saying that, in fact, you are not following the rules. You are supposed to ice as reasonable of a "best team" as possible. Obviously there is interpretation there week to week, but you are not doing that so far.
My comment in the Shoutbox basically alludes to the fact that we have had disagreements regarding trading, won't go into detail, but suffice to say that you have been pretty slow moving at replying to offers.
I also had to remind you to roster your 2nd round draft pick after 4 months.
So while you got dealt a really bad hand, and I respect your tenacity to try and stick it out, like Buffalo said, you are giving easy ammo to those (evidently Denton) to question your actions.

Wasn't aware there was a time limit on replying. As I told you haven't been getting notifications but I guess I am the only one having that problem.
Yeah you did and I get busy with life like everyone else from time to time and like to take a break in the offseason like most seem to do but I'll do better with that.
I've never received a PM from Dave or anything saying hey you aren't playing within the rules or anything of that matter.
I only receive various flack in shout box, PMs from others while I continue to have to explain myself over and over.
I'm very approachable. I'll make the necessary moves bc like I said I'm tired of all the unnecessary hate.
Passion I'm totally fine with like I said, but fantasy hockey isn't real life and some of the messages I have received make it seem as it is.
Ammo is just people looking for a competitive advantage in their favor but like I said I'll make things as people seem to want them.
Hopefully that solves everyone's problem

For example Josh says benching Letang isn't an optional lineup. Well in BBK I think only dressing one goalie and having Mrazek in the minors would be the same. In a league where there are low goalie maximum GP limits to prevent rostering 2 starting goalies, why would I start Mason and Mrazek together? So I can go over the limit and get fined? Both have seen time in my lineup this season. Completely different than this. And I start every single NHL skater I own each week to boot. If you have an issue in there, bring it up in there. And if/when you do, at least do it yourself instead of it always being your buddies talking for you. But nice try trying to shift the focus to my roster in another league that very few guys in here are in. The only reason you keep Letang down in here is to tank. Which is a direct violation of a written rule. You'd more than likely finish at the bottom given your starting roster anyway so blatantly tanking really makes no sense. What's the new excuse now?

What's the goalie maximum? You have 5 goal starts through the season. I'd say you are safe right now of not going over that maximum but that might mess up your #Mathews2SJ. So, yeah I disagree with your assessment but that's your opinion. Just like you are entitled to your opinion, I am entitled to mine. You saying I'm making excuses but I disagree as traded players are waiver exempt. Your goalie is waiver exempt so you use the goalies GP maximum as your 'reason' for not dressing "your optimal lineup". Difference being I can respect a difference of opinion and it appears a lot of you can not. I've been very clear that my only goal is to flip him along with other players. No one does my talking for me. I can clearly do it for myself. I was not shifting focus rather making a point. It's an example of how different points of views and rules can be viewed and an interpretation can be different for every person involved. That's not an excuse, rather making a point. We each have our own different points of view and can all make different arguments as well. Regardless, I've made my lineup changes to make a more optimal dressed for all of you that have had a problem with it even though I am not aware of any rules being broken on my part. If I have broken a rule, I apologize b/c never has been my intention. I'm keep seeing this, I'm making excuses argument. Like I've said no one has directly messaged me about anything such as breaking a rule, etc. Like I said I'm very approachable. Just seems like a lot of bitching to me but hopefully I have solved that problem for you all

It's been quoted and I was warned about it publicly more than enough times. Mason left the team for personal reasons or whatever mid week, so at the next lock Mrazek was in instead. Now that Mason is back, Mrazek is back down. There is a hard limit on goalie GP, so how would starting an NHL starter and a 1b every week be optimal? That versus keeping Letang or Burakovsky or Ehlers down in your minors to play Nate Schmidt or Etem instead are night and day.

If you are complaining about someone dressing their optimal lineup shouldn't you be doing so yourself but this is the same guy who offered me Ilya Kovalchuk for a 1st when I first got here. Like I said we all have different opinions on all kinds of different matters obviously lol

I offered Kovy to many teams, you weren't nearly the only one. And when he comes back, he's a prime asset.
You're still comparing not dressing 2 goalies who if played together every week would project me to go above the limit, and benching your best players, where is the comparison?
