Just a small suggestion, but we should really avoid having our trade deadline during the all-star break.
It's pretty easy to disengage from hockey when there's no games on for 5 days.
The drop in activity level compared to last year is pretty noticeable.
We had 25 deals between Jan. 1 and Feb. 10 (deadline) last year, only 4 so far this year.
There's more going on than just the deadline date, but its timing is not helping.

The deadline does seem really early...And yes, I've zoned out from all things hockey lately. All-star weekend is not hockey haha.

Same here, I can't believe it the trade deadline is this early. I feel we should extend it until next Monday at the very least which would be feb 8th 2016.

Shouldn't it be Feb 8 anyways - rules state 4 weeks prior to beginning of our playoffs - which start March 7
