So I got to thinking the other day about how almost everyday someone is supposedly winning the lotto, 6/49, lotto max, daily grand or whatever else is offered in Canada; and I'm sure the US has even more and bigger ones. Anyways all these "winners" and I don't know any one person who's won. I know lotteries are stupid and all but I still buy tickets now and then.
Any of you random gms actually know a person who's won big?
My best friend won $108,000 last year but that's by far the most from a person I actually know.

I know a few people that won like 50K and 75K at scratcher. Also there's a lotto winner back where I'm from (Green Valley). Also which were you going with this ? Is the government screwing us over but making one of them win( a computer) making it a big scam or you simply do believe in the lotto system but just unlucky of not knowing any big winner? Imagine how many times I ask myself about poker stars and their winner. How many of the winner are truly human and not scam ? It's fucking hard discovering the real answer. It's like answer who's fault 9-11 terrorist act. Was it Bush idea or was it a real act of terrorist ? How about the Kennedy or the Queen Diana murder ?

I'm just curious Frank. Millionaires are made every week, but I don't know a soul who's actually won. Take lotto max for example, 60 mil plus those other million dollar prizes. Even if no one wins the grand prize someone is winnings the "maxmillions". 649 has the guaranteed million winner twice a week, plus the jackpot....
I don't think it's a conspiracy, my sister on the other hand would most definitely believe and try to convince you everything is a conspiracy.

Love the topic and Imdon't think all of them are fake winner but I'm sure it happen in the pass. I bet the denver win over New England was fix. Like New England could of beat Denver soo many ways and just decided to give it to Manning one last time. After all that Manning wasn't sure if he wanted to retired. The funny thing he was for e to,quit after all. Look at basket ball and the dallas maveric. Back in I believe 06 when dallas was playing against Miami, there's rumours that the ref hated Mark cuban the owner and after winning the first two game. There was no chance in hell that the ref would let dallas beat miami at home. Look at those games and tell me other wise.

About 10 years ago, a woman at work won a million dollars (top prize) in one of those charity hospital lottos.

She was close to 60, and that was about 10 years ago

A guy at my work won one million.
people don't talk about winning it because their lives would be ruined. For example, I know a couple that won a few Mill and they had to leave their home town and lost their friends because of greed. everyone thinks they deserve your money when you're rich.
