Re-Sign Rules
Please keep in mind the limit of 24 players on your roster at any time! (And also the salary cap). You cannot exceed either at any time. Use waiver passes, regular waivers, trades, or buyouts to move players off your roster.
Current roster and cap totals can always be found on the master sheet (docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1zdX8E55EQOROO6I3K8kJD9Ybhw1XLqfmBjMlKBs1peE/edit?usp=sharing). I'll try to update as quick as I can as players are resigned with new amounts and should almost always be caught up within 24 hours; usually less.
Please make separate threads for each player with only their name in the title.
State an annual amount and length of contract that you think is fair for the player (ex: 4 years, $5M). If possible give a little reasoning how you came to that number. Resign amounts are based mostly on fantasy production, but also potential, age, team, situation, etc. Longer contracts will be more expensive than shorter ones. Maximum contract offer length is 4 years. NHL contracts have no bearing on amounts here. After some players are signed, those contracts will be good comparables to look at. Please use the rubric as a guide for pricing.

League members will then vote on the amount you suggest. If it is approved, please update your roster and cap totals. If it is denied, you will have one more chance to resign the player. If League members deny, they will explain why and give an amount they would approve so that you know what it would cost to retry. If your second attempt is denied, that player goes to UFA where you can bid on him if you choose to. Please don't try to lowball, the offer will just get denied. Players will always get paid at proper value during resign.
For this offseason, any player not re-signed by the deadline of Aug 10th by 11:59 pm eastern time will automatically go to UFA. That gives everyone 1 full week to prepare for UFA on August 31st. You don't have to resign a player, you can let any player go to UFA without resigning. You may also trade resign rights to other GMs.
