I'm trialing going into the weekend! I'll need an amazing goalie performance for Kuemper tonight or tomorrow; I'm not sure if Schneider can get the job dome against the Preds. Or a few more goals or PIMs could also get it done. At least I hold the tie-break if Helsinki if it comes down to it!

New champ this year??? Stay Tuned!!! Awful weekend performance by my team thus far, looks like my lineup blunders will end up costing me. Need to win G, A, Pts, and STP to take this with only Backlund/Stepan providing scoring against Marchand, not liking my chances. 14pts sitting on my bench (Dzingel, Comeau, Leipsic, Watson, Sergachev), while Backes, Kane, Pavelski, Roussel, Montour all posting goose-eggs. Here comes the 2nd guessing. Reminiscent of Season 1 when I lost early to a GM-less team, disappointing not to at least have the team who's going to be me around to gloat (you can do so Dave since you made CRA's lineup changes!)

Looks like TEX and LIF will escape on tiebreakers. Only 1 upset in round 1 and it's the big one. A bit disappointed, i wanted a shot at dethroning the champs

I didn't need the tie break after all!
For those who won, who is your MVP this week? Mine is Johnny Boychuk! He put up a +5 on Sunday alone single handedly taking the plus minus stat away from Helsinki. A close second is Kuemper posting a goose egg on the final day.
Great seeing Jimmy eliminated! I mean it will be good for our league to crown a new Champ. Looking at the CRA lineup, I have a hard time thinking this team finished 16th. Have fun Willy with CRA!

I would say my MVP is Martin Jones, but SKA had zero goalie starts...

I mean it will be good for our league to crown a new Champ. Looking at the CRA lineup, I have a hard time thinking this team finished 16th. Have fun Willy with CRA! At the beginning of the season, saw CRA as one of the teams to beat as its top young players are just starting to reach their prime. But its goaltending has really faltered and been its Achilles most of the season. But the Mrazek trade to Philly and Hutton's injury to return the starter reins to Allen has provided the boost it needed just in time.
Definitely just like Season 1 when a stacked GM-less St. Louis team with the likes of Toews, MacKinnon, Little, O'Reilly, Chara, and Quick somehow managed to finish 13th and then knocked me out in Round 2 and eventually reached the final, can easily see this happening again.
Good luck to all the rest of the playoffs and look forward to seeing the new champ - will return next season with a vengeance to recapture my rightful spot.
