I agree with the nudge here. We should be able to trade picks if we want. It is our team and the GM's should manage their team the way they want.

I have no particularly strong feeling about trading or not trading. I personally won't do much wheeling and dealing, but I would like to keep my options open.

I don't care either way but would assume the draft would be much quicker if trades were done after.
Negotiating a trade and then having it voted on seems like two extra time consuming steps. But then again whats the rush, we have all summer.

The thing about the Trading panel you need to know we only need the majority to approve such a deal. Meaning you only need 3 yes for the deal to be approve. Also wouldn't it be a good rule to put that we can only trade in the first 3 hours when we are on the clock for our Fantasy pick. Like what get any gm mad is when we wait till the last minute of their clock to make such a deal. I would really like and appreciate if the commish could take a look at this post and tell what he thinks. Other may also do it as well.

Good idea Nudge but I am going to wait before I comment further. there is still no clear indication that trades are gonna happend during the draft. Wait for this poll to finish and then go from there!

There probably isn't going to be much dealing anyways so why not just let it happen. I'd assume the majority of GM's, me included, don't want to mess around too much with their draft picks. Also, the process wouldn't be that slow. Only controversial deals have to go through the trade pannel...

Can PM's be sent to the two remaining GM's to vote? We can still move forward with the draft and adjust the trade rules accordingly if needed.

i couldn't agree more, trades during the fantasy draft really slow things down and get guys upset. Guys will make a lot of mistakes trading up for a player they want. we saw that in he last league where guys (or just a particular guy) took advantage of some younger GMs i refused to make trades during the draft. And it would be much easier if we couldnt make trades until the fantasy draft was complete. I still think we should each pick a complete NHL team, thus, the need for the fantasy draft wouldn't be needed! Pretty much for the same reasons I voted to wait after the draft for trades. I wouldnt make any deals during the draft anyway. But at the same time I dont want my vote to change everything (12 votes against 11 now). I had to vote and i pick this choice but i wouldnt mind if trades were allowed.
