Good idea!
Suprises: Brad Richards: 4G 3A in 6 games. I picked him up for Greening, Matteau and Fournier. If he can get back to 80 point form, wow.
Jiri Hudler: 8 points in 6 games.
Brad Boyes: After noone signed him this offseason, I thought he was Europe bound and a wasted pick. Florida offered him a tryout now he's putting up huge SOG stats with 6P as will.
Dissapointments
Colton Orr: My main PIM guy, 24 PIM in his first game and 2 PIM in the past 7
Alex Semin: 2 Points in 8Games. It's probably just bad luck though considering how many Shots he has
Valeri Nichushkin: I expected him to get huge numbers right out of the gate. 0 Points in 5 games

My only pleasant surprise is Garrison.
Lots of disappointments with injuries and especially Tlusky.

Pleasant surprises? Wingels and Demers have been great, particularly Wingels. Disappointments? Trevor Lewis I suppose... but I haven't really been playing him because Wingels is only center-eligible even though he's exclusively a winger IRL.

Surprise? Prust with 2 GWG so far. Doughty is my best producer so far even though he *only* has 3 points.
Disappointments? I picked up P-M Bouchard expecting him to play on Islanders first line. Didn't happen.
Zuccarello has 0 points so far. Then again, the entire New York Rangers team (minus Richards) has been a disappointment so far.

Pleasant Surprise - Goalie Minutes Played. Right now I have three #1 goalies because of injuries.
Dissapointment - Bryzgalov. I feel he is not that bad of a goalie. I think he is a victim of a saturated NHL goalie position. Just no openings. 50 contract/waiver/cap hit rules all come into play. Bottom dwelling teams not interested. Seems he would be a better fit on a contender.

He seem's like a great guy and there's no way there's 60 goalies in the NHL and 60 in the AHL that are better than him.

Frank: The thread title is "dissapointments so far". The season just started. Bryz won't be out of the league for long. And no, I wouldn't want your 3rd rounder for Bryz even if you offered it.
Why don't you post your own dissappointments instead of trolling mine

I was simply saying that I knew that Bryz would get bought out and that he overvalued that certain player. I never said he wont make a come back but it looks like is chance of making a comeback in the nhl is very slim. I heard no team want to take a chance at bryz, not even edmonton. Like thats insultant toward Bryz!!

Seriously. That was really rude. I thought it was actually a fairly kind reply to the unwarranted comment thrown his way. 99.9% sure she was talking about Frank and not calling Eric's reply rude.

Most surprising team obviously is the Avalanche. Wasn't expecting much when I picked up Giguere just as an extra backup - too bad I had him on my bench for both of his shutouts - particularly against the Bruins and Penguins. Just goes to show you that you've really got to expect the unexpected, can't base your starts solely on the anticipated competition.
