Given the deadline is coming up in a couple of days, thought it'll be good to have some discussion here: - Which players would you like your team(s) to sell-off or acquire? - What would you do if you were the GM of such teams? - Which players are you hoping get moved for the sake of your fantasy team Kesler is obviously one getting lots of chatter these days, though not really liking the return being rumored in Pittsburgh - they just don't have the potential young top-6 assets to give up that the Canucks should be targeting - and Defence isn't one of them - though Pouliot would be nice. Detroit would be a much better partner, with lots of young forwards in the pipeline, so could see something there. Hope he stays put for the sake of my fantasy team though, can't see him getting any bigger ice time/role with any other team other than with Torts. Stastny is also being rumored around, given the Avs may have trouble resigning - though he's been doing well with Landeskog/Mackinnon of late, so not really hoping for him to get moved yet - suspect a deal could get done closer to the draft.

After switching to this team during the Olympic break, I was hoping for Miller to be moved to a contender. Thus, making it interesting for me to retool this team in the offseason.
Im also banking on BUF to cash in on Halak and ride Enroth for the remainder of the season. Giving me potentially 2 starters for a possible playoff matchup w/ an elite team.
Grabovski is the other name id like to see traded or at least just stay healthy for his offense/fow help. I dont mind him staying put in Wsh or Det might be an ideal situation as well.
The rest of the fantasy team stays put especially the D corps. Hmm..haven't heard much Subban talks/signing..so things can get interesting. Perhaps in the offseason.
Weiss needs to go back to FLA and regain his ppg tenure lol..seriously he needs out of Det

Lots of rumours swirling around the NHL and it's hard to get a good read on what actually is going to happen. Most likely zero pieces will move from my team.
Bryzgalov - Hearing a few teams are looking for a back-up for the playoffs. He could be had for a decent price. That would help me with GAA and SV%
Vatanen - I read a rumour today the Ducks are dangling him out to lure a larger piece. I wouldn't mind this because he's a top 4 D man on 50% of the teams in the NHL. More ice time for sure. I really think he will blossom into a Karlsson lite.
E.Kane - Lot's of chatter going on for a year now but in reality I don't see Winnipeg giving up on this stud. Unless the return is a #1C I don't see this happening. A trade would benefit me though as I do feel the Jets shelter him on the 2 line behind Ladd.
B.Schenn - rumoured to be in a package to obtain a blue chip D man like Byfuglien or Yandle. Schenn has been groomed nicely in PHI playing behind some superstars. I doubt he will move though considering Luke Schenn is there. I like the way he plays on PHI anyway so I am not too keen on a trade for my team.

For some reason I could see Kesler going to Columbus. They are in the thick of the race and I think he could get a shot on the top line. Not a lot of a chatter on any of my players that I am aware of though I am sorta surprised that Ryan O'Reilly is still an Avalanche. It probably helps that he is hot for them right now and I also don't know what his bargaining rights are this off-season. Not sure if he has arbitration rights but I see another messy off-season if he remains with Colorado.

I got really excited and thought this thread was going to be about amending the trading deadline in this league next season to extend it closer to the end of our regular season. I still don't see the purpose of not allowing the trade deadline to go down to the final day of our regular season, it encourages activity which every league could always use more of.

Thought Pirri would fetch a bit more then a couple of picks, though goes to show you how players can be rated a bit higher in fantasy rankings than the actual teams that own them.

GM's making good on the "I owe you one"

yeah, no GM is going to risk ruining a trade by dressing a player that they have made a deal to trade. that is why you have teams like St. Louis dressing the San Jose Sharks equipment guy as the back-up when they dealt Halak to Buffalo. They didn't even want him on the bench to back up Elliot.
Fantasy GMing at it's finest.

then again Brodeur does have a NTC so he could be calling the shots on this one, since it was his decision to open up the idea of trading him, what choice do the Devils have?

I don't know if you get credit for saying Bryz was getting traded. now if you called the team accurately, THEN you get credit.
