Good match Canucks, tough holding you off - fabulous round from many of your young guns - you certainly do have a bright future ahead.
And from one firepan to another.. think I'm going to be in tough against the Blues next round - the overall stats don't tell the whole story - his should probably be higher by about 10% given his lower GP - just look at the past few weeks as an example. And Kesler is out to boot..

yes, but Quick has been playing like a b*tch and you have 2 goaltenders. so I need to pretty much forget about those stats and go for all the others.
hmmm, are we allowed to dress zero G?

if you don't dress any you will automatically lose all goalie categories.

yeah, I was only partially serious, but if you are going to lose the stats almost guaranteed, it's almost worth it.
I have a chance on the GAA and S% should Quick get in 1 good game and your 2 goaltenders not have good weeks but I am not going to win in minutes played and shouldn't win in Win totals.
so if I had an option in the minors that made sense, I'd consider focusing on the skater points because that is my only chance.

Can only dress 19 skaters (4C, 8W, 7D) max anyways, so it's a moot point - have to dress at least 1 G to fill a 20 man roster in our current configuration. Don't think you will ever consider it even if it was possible, since even the worse backup goalie can pull off the occasional upset, and you just need one good game to pull off a couple of stats, which is more than any single skater can probably contribute.

And Quick hasn't been that bad, other than his last average game, he had won 6 in a row previous to that with a 1.00 GAA average over those 6.. but hey thanks for giving me some hope though, even if I sweep the goalie stats, going to be a tough go just like Belfast had - really need some great games from my stars this week to pull it off

Good job Blues, knew this was going to be a touch matchup. Don't think I've lost a FOW or SHTOI all season - and lost both this round - that basically says it all. You have elite players at the key positions, who always seem to come through when you needed them - had know doubt Quick would've gotten that shutout against Florida, saw that coming a mile away. But was hoping my guys could come through too, but Kuemper finally found a bad time to falter this week - maybe I should've traded him to you Rebels! Then I would've probably started Elliot who would've gotten me a shutout today. And too bad we didn't get a chance to match up against each other Rebels, was looking forward to that.
Oh well, may have to reflect in the off-season and re-strategize a bit and focus more on the playoffs for next year - as shown already regular season success means squat in the playoffs. Guess the silver lining is there's going to be that challenge to look forward to which is always good.

Thank goodness I was away this weekend, would've been torture tracking this and watching my hopes fade away - was actually pretty hopeful mid-week as we were really close in quite a few cats.
What a waste, Kesler is back early and Datsyuk should be back soon, if only I could've survived the first couple of rounds, the latter part of my schedule was actually looking a lot better with Giroux/Voracek having 4gm each of the final 3 weeks.

3rd round predictions are up! Just to clarify, Red Deer does not have goalie issues. In fact, we have the most efficient goalie trio in the league: Harding - Bryz - Ellis Season Stats 2.39 GAA .913 SV% 5 SO Average cap hit: $1.69M Show me a better trio than this.

You're right, my bad. I forgot about Harding who did a great job for you before his health issues.
