1st round
1.Kelowna Rockets vs 16.Vancouver Canucks 2.Barrie Colts vs 15.Hamilton Bulldogs 3.Portland Winterhawks vs 14.Colorado Avalanche 4.Belfast Giants vs 13.St.Louis Blues * 5.Erie Otters vs 12.Edmonton Oilers** 6.Quebec Draveurs vs 11.Pembroke Lumber Kings*** 7.Calgary Flames vs 10.Red Deer Rebels**** 8.Abbotsford Slashers vs 9.Buffalo Sabres******
Quick notes(btw im french, so sorry if some sentences dont make sense lol): Kelowna, Barrie and Portland should win pretty easily unless all their players got hurt lol
*I think its got the potential to be a lot closer than most could expect of a 4-13 matchup. Tampa Bay has been struggling since Marty got traded and it could hurt Bishop numbers. If Quick play outstanding next week, St.Louis might upset Belfast.
** Even though Erie has 2 impact players gone for the rest of the year, they should win this matchup. Edmonton also has Helm and Stewart injured and not really anyone in their farm club to replce their production
*** I dont predict a serie that I am involve. But Id like to point out this is not an opponent I wished to face in first round lol.
****Every round has an upset series and I think its gonna happen in this one. And yes Im fully aware that Lehtonen is hurt and Calgary has Thomas in their team while Red Deer has no number one goalie. But I think Red Deer has better forwards and defensemen than Calgary. So while I can see CGY winning easily the goaltender category, Red Deer will win most of the skaters category to pull an upset 10-6-1 victory
*****This will be an interesting serie. Lehtonen injury couldnt happen in a worse time for the Slashers. They still have Scrivens, but he will probably share some games with Fasth in the worst team of the league. Buffalo got some similar issues with Price. He might be back for next week but who knows. Both teams are pretty equal but with Hossa gone, I have to go with Buffalo.
2nd round
I did some round 2 predictions. I do realise there will be some draw, I just put the «x» on the team I think has more chance to win the category according to the regular season stats and rosters.
3rd round
Finals

Haha nothing personal. Anyway a lot of people predicted you to finish last after Kovalchuk went in KHL. I think you did a tremendous job to prove them wrong.

since this is a play-off thread, and the rules aren't specific (and I am borderline "some attention-to-detail disorder) are the play-off rounds 1 week long?

Possible Upset???
Didn’t have time to do this for all match-ups but reviewed where I am compared to my heavily favoured opponent. Basically took the total numbers and divided by 21 games.
Kelowna is heavily favoured in 5 cats (PIMS, Hits, FOW, SHTOI and GTOI). Canucks are not favoured in any cats and strange enough did not outscore Kelowna in any category. Conceding those 5 cats, I will need to win 9 of the remaining 12. We will see if the mountain is too high to climb.
Goals Kelowna 203 = 10 Canucks 184 = 9
Assists Kelowna 332 = 16 Canucks 298 = 14
Points Kelowna 535 = 26 Canucks 482 = 23
+/- Kelowna 19 = 1 Canucks 6 = 0
PIMS Kelowna 740 = 35 Canucks 556 = 26
SOG Kelowna 2160 = 103 Canucks 2050 = 98
GWG Kelowna 30 = 1 Canucks 29 = 1
STP Kelowna 149 = 7 Canucks 146 = 7
Hits Kelowna 1522 = 72 Canucks 1052 = 50
Blocks Kelowna 952 = 45 Canucks 928 = 44
FOW Kelowna 4200 = 200 Canucks 1810 = 86
TOISH Kelowna 1821 = 87 Canucks 1320 = 63
Wins Kelowna 43 = 2 Canucks 26 = 1
GAA Kelowna 2.33 Canucks 2.41
SV% Kelowna 9.14 Canucks 9.10
SO Kelowna 3 = 0 Canucks 3 = 0
TOI Kelowna 4456 = 212 Canucks 3776 = 180

In a one week playoff, believe anyone team can beat any other team if things aligned - particular this week since have a number items going against me - 'Nucks have 6 more starts than me - 7 if you count one of my injured players (Glencross) which I'm hoping will return this week to fill in for Stastny. Also, my goalie starts are a lot tougher than the 'Nucks which can definitely play a factor, as well as two of my key scores in Giroux/Voracek play 3 tough teams this week (PIT twice and NJD once). Was really counting on having Datsyuk in this week to count on for a 4-start week (one of the reasons I traded for him to balance my starts a bit), but alas it was not to be. Should be interesting!

Lots of close matchups thus far, looks like a big game from one player can turn the tide.
Darn, looks like Kesler is going to be out for a while - injuries may finally be catching up to me this year, with Datsyuk and Stastny already down - there's my excuse in case I get knocked out. But good showing thus far 'Nucks - though was a bit surprised you had started Markstrom instead of Hutton with two back-to-backs for Nashville this week.
