The Ken Holland Award



Awarded to the GM who best exhibited superior skills on draft day; finding the diamond in the rough.

This past year, the IFFHL had three drafts: The initial draft, the supplement draft, and the entry draft. Please use these three drafts as criteria for voting. Consider especially the late round picks. Take your time to review each draft. No rush. Feel free to post reasoning below to state your case.

GMs who managed their team for the entire season are eligible to be selected; but everyone can cast a vote.

I never once said Bernier is better then Varlamov even tho I prefer Bernier. What I did say is that Varlamov pick was the steal of that draft and Bernier was second.
Then I said that Ryan Johansen was the steal of round 8th and a H.M to Bishop and Mason. So eric you were wrong yet again. Your soo smood like a bab bum!!

I didnt look over all the 40th round but my vote goes for Barrie. He was drafting right before me and took easily 5 guys I was about to pick. He also didnt do a lot of trades and still finished first

I'm a huge Detroit fan and you can't say that of Ken Holland. Detroit rarely makes any moves. They rather built within. But Ray Shero on the other hand love to make lots of move at the deadline to finish on top.
So next time don't mix Detroit and Pittsburgh gm.

Yes the Ken Holland Award is for the best drafting GM. There will be another award for the best negotiator....OK no more hints :-)

Don't worry, I won't take anything to heart. I know at times I may seen cocky or arrogant but hey I know my shit. I won't start apologizing for knowing my craft. I felt I deserve this award and wrote down my name. If we have a award for the best negotiator then I won't write down my name since I haven't made enough deals to even be considere the best, At least not now.
I one if the most honnest guy you'll ever meet and at times you won't like but will see how you'll deal with it.

Ps.: if we have a award for the gm that was the most active then I'll have no problem writting my name down or Dave. It's knowing what your good at and what your not good at. Gotta know your weakness and strenght to be a efficient gm .
