Post your comments & questions here. It is our first one (not counting supplemental draft) so we got time to iron out the kinks if need be.

Assuming anyone that has been drafted or signed an NHL contract is eligible for the waiver draft. Am I missing anything here?

If someone misses four picks, the next highest pick is made for that person automatically. Who decides who is the best pick in that situation?
(ie- I might think a dman with a lot of blocked shots and hits is higher, whereas someone thinks a goalie in a system somewhere is better).

Here's the eligibility for the entry draft: All players who will be 18 years old on or before September 15 and not older than 20 years old before December 31 of the draft year are eligible for selection for that year's NHL Entry Draft. In addition, non-North American players over the age of 20 are eligible.

we simplified the rules Frank.
Entry draft is players picked by real NHL teams in recent draft.
Waiver draft is everyone else.

Am I missing anything here? any player currently unowned by an IFFHL team I don't think that works well. Goalies have a really high rating, if they have played 1 NHL game. And for players without NHL games, everyone has the same rating, and they are listed alphabetically. For the waiver draft, it might make sense to just keep the draft going and let the late person pick whenever they show up?

I think you grabbed the wrong posting to quote there Dave, but yeah, you might be right with that.
just let them pick when they do log on.
We will definitely have it decided before the draft begins.

Dave will have my list. I got family in during the waiver draft so who know when I'll log on to pick

I'd certainly vote against BPA given that fantrax lists many free agents alphabetically (since large groups have the same rating).

If we use the same format as we used for the entry draft then I see no reason that we have to pick BPA for them. They know when they are suppose to pick. They can pick when they log on. If any team does not have an owner, then maybe the TAB can decide (gives them something to do
