Lets mix it up again. I think it's more interesting that way, if 1st now wins again so be it

It's not fair if the teams with the top players also get Drouin/Mackinnon.... Obviously the teams with high draft picks are gonna be voting for random order... But it makes way more sense to do reverse order

Followed by 19-24 because they get two NHL comparable 1st rounders! It's 9-18 who I fell gets the short end of the stick with the snake entry! I was in the middle for the initial draft so I thought why not roll the dice and try and get a high or low pick.

I think a reverse order draft would be best, but I'm fine with either.

Drouin/Mackinnon will carry a 3.5M cap hit and although are great prospects no guarantees they will be great NHLers. (yes I do know chances are they will be) Also if you have a top pick you dont get to pick again till the 40's.
The main issue I have with reverse order is it makes the people with midrange picks have the worst drafting slot in both drafts. Id rather be at the top or the bottom not the middle so I think it would be most unfair to them. Im not looking at this personally since Id be fine with drafting 23rd and 25th and picking up 2 1st rounders in a deep draft who will have much lower cap hits than the top guys.

I ll be honest and I want the chance of getting the 1st overall but since I tend to get the worst spot in every draft. I tend to lean on reverse. At least this way I get 8th overall. Not sure what to vote. I m soo unlucky these days.

Is it at all possible to do a random draw with odds? So Quebec has the lowest possibility of getting first again and whom ever was 24th has highest? That'd be fairest for everyone but might not be possible. Just a thought.

Id rather pick 24th and 25th in the fantasy draft then 13th and 36th, but maybe others don't agree.

Selfishly, I'd love to have #20 and #28, but that would be quite unfair to the person who got, let's say, #13 and #35.

I don't get why everyone hates the middle rounds. IMO, they're the best position. You get a middle of the pack player from every round while other teams get one top player in the round and one bottom player. For example, following a mock draft cheat sheet I found online, at 1 and 48, you're drafting Crosby and Lucic, at 24,25 you're drafting Gaborik and Sharp. Meanwhile, at 12 and 37, you're drafting Kane and Price. Obviously this isn't the case in our draft but the middle pick ended up with the best core IMO.

I like random as think it's one of the most fun parts leading up to the draft - the whole anticipation of the moment of what the random order will be, and the sheer exhilaration (or disappointment) that comes with it.
